• If either the bride or groom is under 18, at least one of the minor's parents, or legal guardian, must appear with the couple. Certified copies of birth certificates are required. The couple must also schedule an appointment with a counselor and then appear before a superior court judge.

         
          Per the county recorders office in Orange county it is nessasary to go to the Family law Courts along with your parent or
          guardian  and go before a Judge and get written permission before we can proceed with the marriage.  The family court 
          building  located on The City Drive in Orange, right down from Theo Lacy Facility.
